On Tuesday 12th February 2019 the choir offered their final Goodbyes to 80 year old gentleman Bert Grunhut, at his emotional funeral at Siloam Baptist Church, Killay.
The Rev Heini Jones officiated and guided by Bert's widow, Barbara and son Paul he presented a very moving and humourous eulogy in celebration of Bert's life.
Bert joined the choir in 2002 and had many happy years contributing in the Baritone secion, unfortunately Alzeihmers set in and prevented a longer contribution. Bert was a proud supported of both the Male Choir and Dunvant Rugby Club and he is fondly remembered for his vocal contributions to both.
You're all cordially invited to join us to celebrate 2019 PATRONS SAINTS' DAY which this year we will celebrate at the lovely St. Peter's Church, Newton from 7 pm on Saturday 2nd March.
We are excited to introduce to you a long standing (not old) friend, Marie Richards (Soprano) and a new friend Rhianwen Hopkin (Harp).
Marie has been a friend of the choir over many years, well before her recording of "Y Nefoedd" on the 1995 recording on "A Century of Song" now available under our "Brangwyn Memories" CD.
We couldn't hold this St. David's concert without the sound of the traditional Welsh Harp, and we are delighted to introduce our young local harpist (Telenores), Rhianwen Hopkin.
