About Us

Dunvant Male Choir pursues the philosophy that music, above all else, is a communicable happiness, and although local surnames dominate, local pride supports and nurtures it. The singing like all great Welsh choirs excels with adrenaline flowing free, be it in the polyphonic intricacies of Benjamin Britten or the compelling surge of the great Welsh Hymns.
Music is a language enjoyed by all people at all levels.

The Patrons’ Association

We are fortunate to have the support of many loyal Patrons both near and far, from Dunvant to Australia. A strong body of Patrons helps to provide the financial and emotional support which is needed to sustain an organisation like Côr Meibion Dyfnant/Dunvant Male Choir.

By becoming a Choir Patron, you’re helping to secure the future of the oldest continuously singing Welsh choir.

The choir's objective is to provide a high standard of choral singing at all times. As an acknowledgement to our Patrons, we hold an annual Patron’s Concert and this has found its place in the calendar every year. When the Choir performed its first Patrons' Concert on 8 November 1980, only the most optimistic could have envisaged what a huge success these concerts would become.

In the years ahead, the Choir will continue to present a Patrons’ Concert of quality, variety and excellence, featuring local, national and international guest artists.

We hope that you will consider becoming a Patron of Dunvant Male Choir.

As a Patron of the choir you will receive a complimentary ticket for our annual Patrons’ Concert and your name will appear as a Choir Patron in the concert programme.

We will also send you a link to the digital version of our annual Côr Meibion Dyfnant/Dunvant Male Choir Magazine, letting you know what we’ve been up to, what we’ve got planned and many other choir related articles.

Soon you’ll be able to sign up as a Choir Patron online but until we’ve got our new system online, if you’d like to join us then please drop us a line at [email protected]

The cost of becoming a Choir Patron is £20 per person for an annual subscription.

A Special Note to Existing Patrons

We’re currently updating our records and our ways of working and would really appreciate it if you would confirm your email addresses for us.

Please do drop us a line at [email protected] with your name and email address so that we can keep our records as up to date as possible.
